Swim Technique
Well, I was not sore from my run on Saturday. So I was happy about that. My heels are still sore though haha, stupid blisters.

So I got to the pool today and realized yet another issue I have. Male ego again. So I get in the pool and all the lanes were taken so it was only sharing of lanes. That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that I have this unending requirement to beat the people around me. So I was not focussing on my form at all only on my speed.

After 20 laps I finally got my head in the game. I said why am I so tired, why does this feel SO much harder than last week?! So after my next push off, I dropped my head in the proper location and remembered to keep my arms straight out in front of me. MIRACLE! I felt so much faster and I felt like I was exerting about 1/2 the energy?! What the heck was I thinking for the first 20 laps??? Well I did 250m repeats or 10 laps each set. I took a minute or two every time I hit my 10 laps. I was hitting 250m at 5 minutes almost exactly some faster and some slower.

I felt amazing overall. I wanted to stay and swim and get 100 laps just because it was a nice number but I stopped at 80 laps total. That was 2000m! I didn't feel tired or fatigued at all. This proper swimming technique actually makes me feel like I am not getting a good workout cause I am not nearly as tired as I used to be haha.

So I am happy that I feel that I can get quite a bit more distance in, all I have to do now is learn the flip turn to be more efficient.

Thanks for reading!
