A. We all hate when something bad happens to an athlete in the sport we love. But risk is apart of life and swimming and so we need to address this so that the coach and athlete are both protected.
1. An athlete needs to call or email a coaches references and make sure you feel comfortable with hiring this coach.
2. An athlete needs to bring a friend or family member who can watch them during their clinic. Swim Coach Finder highly discourages any swimmer or athlete to be alone with a coach for any period of time without anyone watching them. If an athlete finds themselves in this predicament please ask to reschedule and leave immediately.
3. An athlete and coach and their influence needs to be insured by a health insurance policy and understands that if an athlete gets hurt the athlete is responsible to pay all insurance and copays associated with the injury.
4. A coach and pool facility needs to be covered by a general liability policy and any other insurance policy that could cover injury risks. This insurance policy needs to be with a reputable insurance company and agent who can take care of you if this should occur.
5. Swim Coach Finder does not endorse nor do any background checks on any swim coach within our network. It is the responsibility of the athlete to do their due diligence before hiring a coach and to ensure they are in good enough health to participate in this sport.
6. Make sure you have permission from the pool facility to use the pool facility for instructional use and this has been cleared with management of the pool facility.
7. Swim Coach Finder recommends all swim coaches have current CPR, Swimming Instruction and First Aid Certifications. It is also swim coach finders recommendation that the athlete ask to see these certifications before hiring the swim coach for their services. It is also Swim Coach Finders recommendation that their is a lifeguard on duty to help you with securing safety for the swim coach and swimmer.
8. Last but not least have good common sense. Swim Coaches and Athletes please follow the rules of the pool, Swim Coach Finder rules and follow a Swim Coach rules that could keep an athlete and their influence safe and secure. Swim Coaches need to communicate these rules before athletes enter the water and start to swim.

The safety of the athlete, coach, and their influence is the responsibility of the coach and swimming facility. There are rules that all Swim Coach Finder members, both buyers and sellers, need to know and follow. These rules are created to protect you and to keep Swim Coach Finder a safe place to buy, sell, and participate in the community.
1. Rules about general member conduct
Swim Coach Finder members are not allowed to:
•Interfere with the Swim Coach Finder site.
•Use profanity on the site.

A. 1. You can’t participate, bid, or use Swim Coach Finder at all, if you have false contact information on your account.
Athletes and Coaches need to be able to get in touch with each other, and Swim Coach Finder needs to be able to get in touch with them.
2. You must pay for the coaching services you buy. Remember that when you request or reward a coach for their services and they accept it, it is a binding contract. Not paying for an a service after you have agreed to buy it has some negative consequences, which are explained in our unpaid item policy.
3. You can not bid on your own item, obviously. But we have to mention it. We call this shill bidding and it not only violates Swim Coach Finder policies, it’s against the law in many places.
4. You must fully understand where the the clinic will be, how much is the clinic, who is the coach, contact the coach references, and what you will accomplish, before you accept a coaches bid. Many of the problems coaches and athletes encounter start with a simple misunderstanding about what is for sale and the terms of the sale. For example, some sellers only want to sell to buyers who live in a certain country, or who will pay using PayPal. You should only bid on or buy an item if it meets the sellers requirements. These are described in the item listing. If you bid on an ad and you don’t meet the seller’s qualifications, we consider that unwelcome and malicious buying.
4. You can’t offer to buy coach services you found on Swim Coach Finder without using Swim Coach Finder.Services bought outside of Swim Coach Finder aren’t covered by our policies, and you aren’t protected against fraud. Sellers have to follow the same rule, and if a seller offers to sell you something outside of Swim Coach Finder, don’t take the offer and report this immediately if they persist. 5. If you\'re buying a coaching service from a coach in another country, you can\'t ask a coach to mark on the customs declaration that the service is a gift. That\'s not just against our policies, it\'s illegal.

Opening an account:

There\'s NO charge to open a PayPal account and to transfer money from your bank account to your PayPal account.

Sending money – Personal payments:

It\'s free within the U.S. to send money to family and friends when you use your PayPal balance or bank account and you send the money through the PayPal website.

There is a fee to send money as a personal payment using a debit card or credit card. The fee in the U.S. is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount you send. For example, if you send $100.00 USD by credit card, the fee would be $3.20 USD ($2.90 + $0.30). For personal payments, the sender can pay the fee or pass it on to the recipient.

Receiving money – Personal payments:

It\'s free to receive money from friends or family in the U.S. when they send the money from the PayPal website using their PayPal balance or their bank account.

If you receive a personal payment made from a debit card or credit card, the sender has the option to pay the fee or pass it on to you.

If the fee is passed to you, it is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount you receive. For example, if you are sent $100.00 USD by credit card, the fee would be $3.20 USD ($2.90 + $0.30).

There is a fee if you click Request Money on the PayPal website and request money from friends and family.

Goods and services – Purchase payments:

There’s no fee to use PayPal to purchase goods or services. However, if you receive money for goods or services (such as from selling an item on eBay), the fee for each transaction is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount you receive.

International payments:

There is a fee when you send a payment to someone in another country or if you receive a payment from someone in another country. Please note that exchange rate fees also apply. The Fees section of the PayPay User Agreement has specific information. You can find the User Agreement by clicking Legal Agreements at the bottom of any PayPal page.

Withdrawing money:

You can withdraw money from your PayPal account to your bank account at no cost. If you prefer to receive a check, there is a $1.50 fee.
